World to Explore is a personal travel blog run by Cristina, based in Porto, Portugal. Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit world-toexplore.com, how it is used, and the rights you have over it.
Information I collect
I try to collect as little as possible. There are two ways your data may reach me:
- Information you give me - when you use the contact form, you provide your email address, a subject and a message. I only use this to read and reply to you.
- Information collected automatically - like most websites, my host and analytics tools may record technical data such as your approximate location, browser, device type and the pages you visit. This is aggregated and never used to identify you personally.
Cookies
The site uses only the cookies needed to work properly and, if enabled, privacy-friendly analytics to understand which content is useful. I do not use cookies to build advertising profiles. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
How I use your information
Your information is used only to:
- reply to the messages you send me;
- understand, in aggregate, how the blog is used so I can improve it;
- keep the site secure and working correctly.
Sharing your information
I do not sell or rent your data. It may be processed by the trusted services that keep this blog running (for example hosting, email delivery and analytics), and only to the extent needed to provide those services. I will only disclose data if legally required to do so.
Data retention
Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up conversation, and are then deleted. Aggregated analytics may be kept for longer, as it does not identify you.
Your rights (GDPR)
As this blog is run from Portugal, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies. You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, just email me at cristina@world-toexplore.com.
